Automac was started in the year 1998.
Timothy Thomas, who is a qualified Automobile Engineer, heads this organisation.
During his career after graduating, Thomas found employment in various automobile garages and showrooms.
His passion for driving led him to take part in professional racing circuit.
Ultimately he ended up managing pit stops at various prestigious automobile racing circuits.
During these years, he was surprised by the lack of knowledge and the unscientific approach of the majority of Auto garages and service stations as regards to an automobile’s maintenance and upkeep.
It was always a patch up job...never a permanent remedy.
The service providers and the vehicle owners were both happy to attend to problems as a reaction to a malady rather than take steps to find out the cause and take remedial action to prevent its recurrence.
The word “Preventive Maintenance" was very alien to all of them.
Thomas found this approach ultimately led to a lot of unhappy car owners who just blamed the manufacturer for all their woes. All of them never really thought about their cars as a very sophisticated machine ...designed to give them top class service and performance.
This requires a religious routine of regular checkups, repair, replacement and maintenance of their cars.

It really was simple; if you looked after your car...your car will never let you down.
As a natural progression to various jobs and outings, Thomas eventually started his own Garage and Workshop.
The Key word in this venture was and will always be "Preventive maintenance".
With this motto, Thomas slowly gathered around him a number of loyal customers.
He first educated and enlightened them about the cars they owned and how these were wonderful machines giving out loyal service to their owners without complaining.
In turn, the owners were expected to spend a little attention to see that these machines are maintained well.
Let the car be of any make and Brand, any cost, all of them were machines and as such are prone to breakdown unless cared for.
Preventive maintenance was always better than costly breakdowns..
This philosophy bore fruit and soon the word spread.
Now cars serviced at Automac are less prone to breakdowns and repair and their owners enjoyed a superior use experience.
This tradition continues to this day.....
